I am Yamkela Ntotho, an engineer in training at an engineering consulting company called Hatch Africa. I recently graduated from the University of Cape Town with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering in Electrical Engineering degree. I was born and raised in a small town called Flagstaff in the Eastern Cape Province. For as long as I can recall I have always been fascinated by electricity, particularly how it is generated. I am very passionate about preserving the environment, hence I am interested in the field of renewable energy and finding more environmentally friendly methods of generating electricity. Furthermore, I am planning on  doing my master's degree in this area with an aim of advancing what has been discovered or help find an alternative way of generating electricity.   

 

Outside my academic and work life I am a very athletic individual, over the past two years I have been playing football for the University of Cape Town's 2nd team . I also enjoy photography, so in my spare time I like to explore new locations and capture beautiful images.
